Business continuity management

Published Reviewed

Business continuity management is the discipline of keeping critical operations running through disruption — identifying critical functions, setting recovery objectives, preparing plans and workarounds, and exercising them. NIS2 lists it among the mandatory risk management measures, DORA requires it specifically for ICT, and ISO 27001 embeds it in the control set, so most organisations meet the same continuity questions from several frameworks at once.
