Greenwashing

Published Reviewed

Greenwashing is presenting a product, service, or company as more environmentally sound than the evidence supports. It is policed from several directions at once: consumer protection law on misleading claims, the CSRD’s assurance requirement, and financial regulation such as the SFDR for investment products. The practical defence is the same everywhere — every public environmental claim needs verifiable evidence behind it.
