CE marking

Published Reviewed

CE marking is the manufacturer’s declaration that a product meets all applicable EU product legislation and may circulate freely in the internal market. It is applied only after the required conformity assessment — self-assessment or a notified body, depending on the product and rules — and must be backed by technical documentation and an EU declaration of conformity. New regimes such as the Cyber Resilience Act attach cybersecurity requirements to the same mark.
