Published Reviewed

Data portability is the right to receive data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to move it elsewhere. The GDPR grants it to individuals for personal data they provided under consent or contract; the EU Data Act extends portability thinking to users of connected products and to customers of data processing services, obliging providers to remove obstacles to switching.
