Gender pay gap reporting

Published Reviewed

Gender pay gap reporting is the duty under the EU Pay Transparency Directive for employers to report the pay gap between female and male workers, with the first reports due in 2027 for employers with 150 or more workers. A gap of five percent or more in any category of workers, not justified by objective criteria, triggers a joint pay assessment with worker representatives. Swedish employers already run annual lönekartläggning under diskrimineringslagen; the directive adds public reporting and pay range transparency in recruitment.
